A Copim Community project, Open Book Futures (OBF) enacts a step change in the ambition, scope and impact of community-led Open Access book publishing. The research project strengthens and extends many of the initiatives developed under the COPIM project (May 2023–April 2026), including the work of Open Book Collective, Opening the Future and Thoth. By creating and expanding the functionality of open infrastructures, by developing advice and solutions for metadata, archiving and accessibility, and by supporting modes of experimental publishing, the OBF project is working to deliver a more sustainable, equitable and bibliodiverse future for OA book publishing. The project is co-funded by Arcadia and the Research England Development (RED) Fund.
